Draft for review. This document reflects how Zombie Wars actually handles data, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked against the law of your jurisdiction, and against GDPR if you distribute in the EU, before publishing it as your operative policy. Replace every bracketed placeholder.

This policy explains what data 5th Table (“we”) collects when you play Zombie Wars, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

Who we are

What we collect

Game account. When you first launch the game, we create an account identified by a randomly generated identifier. This is not linked to your name or email address.
Progress and inventory. Your level progress, unlocked vehicles and weapons, upgrades, in-game currency balance, and mail.
Purchases. A record that a purchase occurred and what it granted. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never see or store your card details.
Leaderboards. If you submit a score, your chosen display name and score are visible to other players.
Optional gameplay analytics. Only if you consent. These are diagnostic and gameplay events — session length, run outcomes, which map and vehicle were used, upgrades chosen, where a run ended, load times, and graphics quality tier — tied to your account identifier and a session identifier.
Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers, or any data from other apps on your device.

Analytics consent

Gameplay analytics are off unless you turn them on. You are asked once, and you can change your answer at any time in the game’s Settings. Declining does not limit any part of the game.

Why we use it

To run the game — save your progress, restore it on a new device, deliver rewards and mail, and operate leaderboards.
To keep it fair — validate purchases and detect manipulation of progress or currency.
To improve it — find crashes and performance problems, and balance difficulty. This uses analytics data, and only with your consent.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. We share only what is necessary with:

Apple and Google — to process purchases and distribute the game.
Our hosting provider — which stores game data on our behalf on servers located in the European Union.

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Account and progress data is kept while your account exists, so you do not lose progress. Analytics events are retained for [RETENTION PERIOD] and then deleted. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve your request.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it entirely. Email privacy@5thtable.com and we will respond within [RESPONSE WINDOW] days. Deleting your account removes your progress permanently and cannot be undone. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Zombie Wars is not directed at children under [AGE THRESHOLD]. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact privacy@5thtable.com and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and we will tell you in the game if the change is significant.
